Sustainability and Quality at Solar Capture

Solar Solutions for people and planet both now and in the future

Embedding Sustainability into everything we do

Contributing to a better future for all

To develop sustainably means to do so in a way that meets the needs of the present without depriving future generations of the ability to do the same.

As a company Solar Capture are dedicated to implementing principles of sustainability into all we do, and have committed to several of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Read more about our commitment here.

Society

At Solar Capture we take pride in our local community and aim to give back as much as we can. We recognise the large pool of skilled talent the North East has to offer and have a growing work force inclusive of local talent, apprentices and ex service personnel. Our commitment to the armed forces is championed by our Gold award for the armed forces covenant.

Environment

We are one of very few UK manufacturers of solar PV and recognise the environmental benefits that are associated with this status. Most obvious is the shorter delivery routes compared to imported solar, reducing the amount of associated CO2. However, we recognise a number of other environmental benefits. We proudly operate a zero waste policy here at Solar Capture and align our manufacturing with the top of the waste hierarchy, furthermore, our in house design capacity enables us to design and manufacture products using recyclable materials. Finally, it is recognised that the most carbon intensive part of making solar PV is the manufacturing, we therefore maximise the amount of renewables we have in our own energy mix to offset this for our solar PV manufacturing.

Quality

With decades of experience in solar PV research, development and manufacture we have developed a strong reputation for high quality. Something that was maintain throughout the whole business, from our management systems where we implement ISO standards, to our manufacture and after sales service. Our manufacturing facility in Blyth, Northumberland is equipped with the latest technology for solar PV manufacturing and testing, giving us the confidence to state our products are of the highest quality possible.
