World efficiency record for Cadium Telluride (CdTe) Photovoltaic cells. This thin-film technology achieves active layers which measure less than one tenth of the diameter of the human hair.

BP Solar achieves Saturn cell efficiency world record 18.3%. The Ptype wafer with phosphorous diffusion achieves high efficiency through its low resistance and low shading structure.

Our world class research and manufacturing facilities are situated in the Port of Blyth, North East England. The plant is powered by renewables, with 35KW of energy generated by our solar wall and further consumption supplied from offshore wind turbines in Blyth.
